I turned 50 last month and my husband threw a party for me (also was a Christmas party for my work).
I received many thoughtful gifts from family and friends.
I received 3 handmade gifts that were priceless:
Theresa made the Maxine quilt for me-I LOVE IT!
Sandy made this bday quilt for me. It has Minky on the back---(can you say COMFY!)
My sisters got together and made this scrapbook of my life for me---PRICELESS!
How lucky am I? Except the being 50 part!!

New Blogger
Yes! I am joining some of my friends in the blogging world. This is my first post and I am nervous already! I can't wait to learn a lot more in order to post pictures, etc.
I have been quilting for about 7 years, and knitting for about 25 years! I find quilting and knitting both relaxing and challenging.
I have a quilt buddy, Theresa who comes over almost every Tuesday to laugh, share, eat and quilt. Together we have a blast! We almost always are working on projects for someone at work. We make quilts for the nurses in the unit who celebrate a 40th or 50th birthday, and also quilts for new babies, weddings, retirements. This alone keeps us pretty busy. Add our own projects and...let's just say we always have something going on!
