A request was made by Melyssa for me to make her a shoe bag for her "spinning shoes". I dug up a pattern From A Spoonful of Sugar Designs and viola:
Theresa and I:
Finished a quilt for a nurse's big year birthday! She 's a very feminine lady and the focus fabric had girlie stuff open it ( diamond rings, nail polish, little black dress, martini, shoes, purses) which we thought suited her to a tee! Sorry the pictures are so blurry, I could get her to stop moving, and she was trying not to cry!
She loved it!
Now I am working on a quilt for my brother, Jeff's house! Found some "manly" fabric that matches his new brown couches! Doing a " Double Slice" quilt pattern from MSQC! One of my "go to" patterns-let's you show off the material!
I bought a pattern today from Annie's----called "Fat Quarter Slide"-downloadable-so as soon as I could, I got out some FQs from my "stash" and started to cut! It honestly took me less than an hour to cut out all the pieces! So tomorrow I will sew it together! I'm trying out this pattern to see if it will be my "go to" pattern for this year! My other go to patterns are Enigma and Warm Wishes, but I have grown tired of them. So a new pattern is just what I needed to spark my "JoJo mojo".
It finishes 71 1/2 x 86 1/2, so that's a generous size!
I am so proud of the woman you are becoming! SO independent! I am so thankful that you are inherently, kind, loving and beautiful! Not to mention, I LOVE your sense of humor and playfulness! You truly light up my life! I cannot imagine my world without you I it!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY...HAVE A GREAT, SAFE, FUN DAY!
I love you, deerly!
