A finish, a Flimsy and a Prototype

Finished embroidering on Amanda's boss's new baby's teddy:
And while watching:
Which by the way, I think is good, but not as good as "Downton Abbey". Can't wait until January to see next seasons! I finished piecing the front of the Christmas Quilt":
Then with the scraps from this quilt, I made a prototype of the Christmas Stocking that I want to create. This first one is for my 1 year old grand-nephew, Ryder. The next will match for his mom (my niece), Sara!
And accompanying me today (yeah, right, (more like hindering) are my two big, goofy but lovable pets: Prinz:
And Bailey:

On My Design Wall

I just couldn't resist this cute Christmas material. The quilt is again "Enigma" pattern. It goes together so quickly, and showcases the cute material. I am not sure who is getting this quilt yet for Christmas, but I am hoping I can put it together by tomorrow so I can get on with a few more quilts I have planned for Christmas presents.

Wedding Dress Shopping

So my daughter, Melyssa is getting married August 2, 2013. She is a very independent young lady and almost always knows EXACTLY what she wants!. So since she has been carrying around a picture of " THE WEDDING DRESS" on her iphone for a year, I figured we'd be getting it in Los Angeles this last Tuesday. Well, we went....
Saw the dress...tried it on..maid of honor helped...
We liked the dress alot...and Melyssa looked AMAZING in it, but we decided to think about it a while longer. Since we were in LA, Melyssa decided to Google wedding dresses and within 2 blocks was another wedding dress store.... Guess what????? The dress of her dreams was in THIS place.....as well as the bridesmaid's dresses...WOOHOO.....found it all...and not where we expected... as one of my best friend's always says..."Man plans...God laughs". The three of us had a great day together...just mom and 2 best daughter's ever!! PICTURES TO FOLLOW.......

Another 50th Birthday Quilt

Theresa and I made this quilt for a nurse turning 50:

The geese are all made from Hawaiian material, as she is very fond and has lived in Hawaii.

That theme just seemed appropriate!

A Finish!

I just finished this quilt for my sister-in-law's 50th bday! The material is definitely one of my most favorite! My hubby is flying to Miami to celebrate her bday! Alot of fun to be had, I'm sure!

Sunday Saying

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.
