Banner

I was asked to make a football banner:
I was so glad to finish-makes me nervous to make things for others--just have to hope that their ideas and mine aren't too far off. If you look closely, you can see her twins numbers on the helmets.

Sew EZ tablerunner

On Thursday, Susan and I had a Sew EZ Tablerunner Class-the participants came in bare handed and left with a reversible holiday runner! Although I stressed about it (so many students, so little time), every one seemed pleased!
I am just starting to put up my Halloween decorations. These are some I've made and are my favorite:
I hope to be making the apron for gifts----but right now my Bernina 730 is in Intensive Care. My embroidery unit stopped working yesterday. They say it is a 2-3 week wait! Yikes!

Sunday Saying

Let us, be up and doing

With a heart for any fate;

Still achieving, still pursuing,

Learn to labor and to wait.

Back From Vacation

Sherwood and I were lucky enough to escape to the Bridgeport area to do some relaxing. Sherwood does a ton of fishing:
I took a few projects and was able to work UNINTERUPTED for hours: Finished the binding and label on Janet's quilt (Director at my hospital who is turning 50!) Theresa and I made the quilt this month.
Finished a few flowers for my Asian Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt:
Knitted a few rows on an autumn scarf I am making for a favorite Dr. friend:
And just so you don't think this whole trip was about fishing, I managed to buy LOTS of this fabric (that I have been drooling over) to make a queen sized quilt for our bed:
I think it's so wonderful that there is a quilt shop in the boonies where hubby likes to vacation--lucky me!
