Overdose of PJs

I do not know why i have been in such a pj making mood----okay, maybe because JoAnns had flannel on sale, and I saw material that reminded me of certain loved ones:

For a young friend at work who LOVES elephants:

For my oldest daughter's BFF in Virginia: moustaches were cool for them WAY before they became so popular ( I think that they actually started the trend)

For my eldest-who just started CNA school and has a rotation at a convalescent home:

And for my baby (22yrs old)--her name is Amanda, but SO MANY people call her Panda:

That's all for the last weeks sewing!

Did i mention that I went to the "Road to California" quilt show? Theresa and. I were accompanied this year by Sandy and Cathy! We had a great time----spent so much $$$$$$ that i told my husband we would be eating beans for the next two weeks!!

This is part of my loot:

I have so many new projects to start, but i must finish Eric's quilt and Delilah's baby quilt.

More PJ pants

Amanda's new work friend loves owls-so when we saw this flannel at Joanns we wanted to make her a pair of pj pants:

I was lucky enough to get a photo from her modeling them!

So tweet-owl love it!😍

12 in 2014

So, I have started a new challenge called "12 in 2014" . It is sponsored by idea is you put your UFOs (UnFinished Objects) in a bag and you number the bags 1-12 (one for each month). Then a random number is picked and you must finish that quilt within that month!

And, yes, i do have 12 UFOs-half are just needing to be quilted, and half need to have piecing and quilting finished.

#1-Valentine's Quilt (just started this):

#2 Columbine Quilt (started for myself at least 3 years ago):

#3 Eric's quilt

#4 fun girlie quilt (for unknown girl):

#5-Maxine Quilt-recipient unknown:

#6 quilt started from scraps of another quilt:

#7- Quilt made for my nephew, Dylan's baby girl due january 9th!

#8-Quilt for a niece

#9-Quilt for unknown charity: made with material left over froma wedding quilt i made last year!

#10- Quilt for other niece

#11-Quilt made using the "Ten minute block" pattern-done, just needs quilting! Again recipient unknown! It's possible I will keep this and use it as a tablecloth for Thanksgiving dinner!

#12- I bought and cut out a quilt for Randi, and so did my friend, Sandy. We decided to go with her quilt! This left me with this one, which I will make for myself!

The first number (for January) is #7-so I will be finishing the ladybug quilt!

So that's the QUILTY plan for this year! This of course will be done around the quilts I make for gifts!

P/S-if I finish one of the quilts before it is picked, I will start a NEW project and put that one in place of the finished quilt!

Happy New Year, 2014

Not for everyone, though!

This is the message I got from my daughter, Amanda:

"My quilt kept me warm while I was dying last night"

Isn't she beautiful?........Even sick......
