I was dying to try this "3 Hour Quilt"pattern that I bought a month ago! I thought I would love to use it for a fabric that I loved so much that I didn't want to cut into it.
Anyway, I had found this really cool heart n stars fabric and knew it would make a great center fabric panel for this quilt:
I decided to make it as a 60th gift for a BFF who was turning 60! I got her 60 gifts that started with "S". Her name is Susan, and "Susan was Sixty" was the theme for her birthday! She was also born on "Flag Day", and she always decorates her house for every single holiday!
Turned out adorable, and from start to flimsy stage was really about 3 hours! But they can't possibly had the back piecing, quilting and binding plus label included in that time - more like an 8 hour quilt!
This will DEFINITELY be one pattern that. I will use over and over!
My friend LOVED her "Star Spangled Quilt" and sent me a thank you note with a bunting with 60 thank you's in 60 different languages! Very creative!
