Knitting
Very excited about how this scarf is coming along? I am enjoying every stitch! It's hard to see here, but the lace pattern is actually a heart!

Rick's 50th Quilt
My brother is super talented in music (his hobby)! He plays the guitar and drums, and probably other instruments I am not aware of!
This is the fabric I picked for him:
-
I am so excited with this quilt, and cannot wait to gift it to him:
Hope to surprise him at his favorite Chinese restaurant named "Chins" soon!

Mother's Day Early
Our daughter, Amanda is leaving Chicago for her new assignment in Japan. She will be gone for 2 years! Such is the way of the Navy!
Despite all her packing and moving, she did not forget about me!! She sent her Mother's Day gifts to me early!
-
I am so lucky...she loves her momma and NEVER forgets to tell me how much! She is the sweetest, and I will miss her SO!!

Testing 1-2-3
I am trying new apps...since the last update on my iPad, I have lost BLOGSY.
And the other app I used made the posts too small!

Janeene turns 60
I was finally able to give my eldest sister the quilt I made for her 60th Birthday!
We celebrated on her actual birthday by going to Koki's, her favorite teppan place!
Today, most of the family gathered at The Yardhouse!
-
As we left the restaurant, this lovely rainbow was waiting for us:
Got home and saw this picture sent to me by my daughter, Melyssa! She is already using the Cherry Blossom Basket I made for her as a mobile diaper station:
Made it home to have time to sew up one more block for my "Anniversary Quilt" that I have been slowly plugging away on for years-this is a quilt I hope to put into a quilt show when I finish:

33 Years
We celebrated our 33 year anniversary on May 5th! My hubby got my a beautiful bouquet of roses:
-
We went to a wonderful restaurant, Roy's, but I got suddenly sick to my stomach and barely was able to make it home! Got a few photos in before:
Here's to another 33!

Melyssa's Baby Shower
A great time was had by all!
Finally, all the things I had been working on can be shown, as they were gifted!
Bibs and burp cloths galore:
A teddy bear made from the same fabric as Melyssa's baby blanket!
A tactile blankie!
And a quilt: backside "Charger's" for daddy!
- front side -"The Rainbow Fish"-Melyssa's favorite book as a baby!
And a Cherry Blossom "One Hour Basket" for diapers and wipes!
And who could resist a little tutu?
Isn't this tummy time playmat great? My bfqf, Theresa made this mouse for Kali!
LOVE,
GRAMMIE JO
