A week in the Sierras

Sherwood and I went on our annual (#2) week vacation in Bridgeport, where we stayed in the Aspen cabin at Doc and Al's. It was VERY relaxing and felt good to get away from phones, computers, TV. Luckily for me there is electricity so I got to sew to my hearts content while Sherwood went catching a million trout!

I did a little knitting on shore:

Love, love, love this "Peppercorn" stitch!

I see a lot of Christmas quilts in my future as I took a lot of scraps from past years and cut them up into half square triangles.....I love quilts made with hsts!

I also finally put the velcro on all the bibs....so many babies coming!

And the most satisfying:

Simple charms sewn together that made a VERY lovely FALL/CHRISTMAS Quilt....all from my stash (bought 5 years ago). I love this one, will be hard to let it go! Just needs borders!

  1. That looks so wonderful. Love these photos. I hope Paul, Emily and I get to do this someday. I sighed looking at each photo. Thanks for sharing. You are, by the way, adorable! I love how much heart you put into everything.
